Home Sweet Little Home. Like I've mentioned, I partake in small space living. My 2 bedroom, one bath home is about 525 square feet! Aside from that, all the space is outside, on the deck and down at the creek.
The one thing that I found a terrible challenge was doing my laundry at the laundromat. Ugh. Especially as I am goimng through chemo. I have had to have others do it for me again and again.
After much research, I decided to buy the Haier portable washing machine to use hooked up to my kitchen faucet. It got great reviews, and I can tell you after my first day of doing my laundry I am really satisfied with its performance.
After I purchased the machine and it was delivered yesterday, Zak did further research, and built me a compact, collapsable clothesline that works right off of my deck! He has mad creative skills! It is on two small hinges, and when not in use it lies flat down against railing. When I want to dry my wash, it lifts and two ropes attach to wood hooks.
I will store the machine in a little alcove out on the back deck when not in use and cover it with a tarp. The last thing I will get is a small dolly to help me move it in and out. I'm thinking I may just leave it strapped to the dolly for simplicity.
I couldn't be happier. Everything is washed, dried, folded and put away! In heaven having folded laundry that has dried flat on the line and smells like sunshine and fresh air!
