I've been working on this very simple cardigan for Emil forever and a day. That one left sleeve? It has been knitted three times! But this time, the third time, was a charm. I don't know what my problem was (other than not paying attention). So one more sleeve, but I couldn't wait to sew on the (delicious) buttons I found at a yarn store called Flock in Nantucket. The colors in shells: they pick up the colors in the yarn perfectly!
The yarn is Madeline Tosh DK (a hand dyed, washable merino). I love this yarn! The color is Vanilla Bean (shades of browns and tans with a sprinkling of lavender.) People notice it on my needles and love it. Below represents the most true colors in the yarn.
And the pattern is from Knitting Pure and Simple: Easy Baby Cardigan (a free download from Raverly). I'm making a size 18 months. The original pattern has a hood and I-cord ties that I replaced with a collar and buttons.
Maybe one more week until completion?
