What do you do when you sit and wait for the dryer to complete its cycle? When you have 16 minutes suspended in time on an otherwise jam-packed-with-chores-day.
Random thoughts...
1. I wish there was a second time around to have children. A time when you have all the experience and better judgement, and when your body cooperated and said, "Yep. You can do it again now."
2. What in the hell am I going to do with all of the stuff in those last few boxes I need to empty?
3. Why do I have a zit? I left those things behind a long time ago. Probably the new face products I have been using. Hmmmm. Which one? Why did I begin several new ones at once. Now I can't tell which one is the culprit. But this zit is ugly. And it hurts. And I can't seem to cover it up with anything. And I can't keep my hands off of it. Dammit.
4. That fresh blackberry breakfast cake I made was not "dry" Zak. Harumpfh. How dare you soak it in chocolate milk.
5. It was so good to have Monte and Josh spend the night while visiting from Ashland. Even after all these years I still have a huge crush on Monte. Girl code though. He's still my ex friends ex husband. 'Nother dammit. Great big dammit.
6. Two days off is way too short.
7. What would I do without the long arm and bamboo hand of my trusty back-scratcher lying over there on my desk? I love you back scratcher.
8. Missing Chicago. Missing it bad these days.
9. I dread calling Mom. She's in one of her horrid stretch of bad mood days. Can I not? No I have to. She needs to get to the grocery store. I could just pick up her groceries and drop them off to her. Oh bouey. Not a good idea. Two days off is way too short when one is filled with Mom.
10. Hurry up dryer. I have an appointment at 11.
11. Marianne, stay on your diet today. How about a little hike around Spring Lake before you come home and clean?
12. I wanna go see The Help today or tomorrow. I'll call Charlene after my appointment.
13. Dryer's chiming.
And so it goes inside my head. Constantly. Random. Busy.
Have a great Saturday!
I went to see The Help this week. Great movie!

With my oily skin, I was looking forward (kinda) to getting older and not having wrinkles. No such luck -- wrinkles and the occasional zit still reside together on my facial real estate. Looking forward to The Help, too. Love all of your comments; it's interesting what comes to mind when waiting for the dryer to finish its cycle! Annie

Shoulda, coulda, woulda, wanna! So goes life Marianne :-) It's amazing how our minds move through cycles similar to washers and dryers. Ha ha ha! I want too see 'the Help' too. It was a pretty good read. Hope you ended up having a good day!
