So I've taken so many days, weeks...a month to get it together to post the thousands of miles that I have traveled lately. I have a whole post that I have been working on in a Word file waiting to tell the story of my trip across country and my landing in California. The adventure, new folks, miles to chat with my son Zak, trials of a car broken down, music, scenery, food and roads. Long ribbons of highway that allowed me hours upon hours of thought and planning. Photos galore. So many I couldn't figure out how to fit them in between the story line.
And then yesterday happened with its news last night, leaving my mind and heart full of this Fairy Tale Weekend where the Prince got married and the bad guy was killed.
And now I need a 3000 mile piece of ribbon highway to sort my thoughts again. Probably not that long, but somehow my measly travel story feels trite. But I'm going to get it together and finish it and distract myself from my sad heart. Sad at the state of this world. Sad that the children are seeing people cheering a murder. Remember, we are their teachers. Son-in-law Matt said it best: Celebrate the end, not the death, and be modest after victory.
I love you all. I'll be back.
Well said - I've missed your wise and comforting words. Hugs!
