i love the karmic web of city living. i had a few of those homeless guys in berkeley and in sf. i'll never forget malcolm and how each christmas for 6 or more years in a row i gave him a 20. other days i'd buy him coffee or take him to intermezzo for salad. he always looked out for me, keeping rude guys away, carrying bags to my car after work, whatever. then one year he disappeared. that spring, he came back - in a wheelchair with a missing leg. diabetes. but i was so happy to see him.
maybe pizza guy will help you load your truck when it's time to move. or get a new tv. or upgrade your mattress. who knows. but glad you stood your ground.

Odd the way people and things keep coming back until you learn the lesson, isn't it?
