Sweetie Pie

These days are rainy cold and filled with children and baby love. I've been able to fit some knitting in here and there. I found this self-striping yarn that I love. It's a wool that has a ot of lanolin, so it softens even as I knit it. I made each of the boys a hat in "their" colors (in my humble opinion, anyway).
My granddaughter (That's the first time in my whole life I've ever written those two words together) was born at 1:07 this morning, at home, in the birth tub, surrounded by beautiful chanting music and candle light. She weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces. Her skin is softer than time. Her mama is an awesome warrior. Pictures wil be posted soon. And I'm going to take a nap.
Last Tuesday we went on a rain walk and gathered little bits of nature.
When we got back to school, the children arranged their treasures in plastic tops.
I then put them into the freezer, filled them with water and added a yarn loop.
Today we hung them in the trees and earned a bit about freezing temperatures, winter and beauty.
Not yet.
:)
Help. I'm looking for a bootie pattern that I can knit in angora, and the finished product will be a little fluffy ball...no cuff...and it will stay on the baby's foot. It will need to have a good stretch to it? Two kinds of yarn maybe? Any experience? Any ideas???
